2011 Highlights 13 Brand Categories Ranked

– Brand value rose 17 percent as all sectors gained and the economy shifted from recovery to growth.
– Apple is No. 1 with a brand value of $153.3 billion.
– Google ranked No. 2 the second most valuable global brand with a Brand Value of $111.5 billion, after spending 4 years at the top.
– The 2011 BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands are collectively worth $2.4 trillion.
– One in three dollars of the 2011 BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brand is accounted for by technology brands.
– Facebook enters the BrandZ Top 100 for the first time at No. 35 with a 246% surge in brand value.
– Emerging market brands make up 19% of the BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brand Ranking, up 18% since 2006.
– Chinese search engine Baidu is No. 29, up from No. 75 last year.
